Improved Memory
If our brains were computers, we'd simply add a chip to upgrade our memory. However, the human brain is more complex than even the most advanced machine, so improving human memory requires slightly more effort.

New information enters your brain; unless you focus on information intently, it goes “in one ear and out the other. If you’ve concentrated well enough, a signal to store the information will be sent as long-term memory. When you need to recall information, your brain will activate the same pattern it used to store it.
The key to encoding information into your memory is alertness and concentration.  If you are aware and alert most times, you will find that your brain is working at optimum levels.  With that of course the memory retention capacity is enhanced as well.
